Week 5 viewing guide
I hope everyone DVR’d Michigan’s first four games of the season, all of which took place at the Big House. Because you might need to be firing up rewatches of those old games in the coming weeks and months to remember what Michigan Stadium looks like. That’s because after playing four games in as many weeks at college football’s largest amphitheater, Michigan fans will only get to see the Wolverines play there twice over the next eight weeks.
That stretch of road games begins this week as Michigan travels to Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Elsewhere, it’s a week that — despite some big names like Ohio State, Miami (FL), Florida State, North Carolina, Wisconsin, UCLA and Kansas State all being idle this week — has some pretty noteworthy matchups. Not quite like last week’s loaded slate, but certainly better than what was on the agenda for the first few weeks of the season.
Here are my picks for the best games worth watching, plus predictions for said matchups (and all Big Ten contests) — both straight and against the spread.
