It’s time for the Week 4 installment of my weekly viewing guide. For those of you who may need a reminder, this Friday staple typically include the following:

  • My breakdown and prediction (both straight and against the spread) of Michigan’s game

  • My choices for the three biggest Big Ten games of the week that don’t involve Michigan, including predictions straight and against the spread

  • My choices for the three biggest non-Big Ten games of the weekend, including predictions straight and against the spread

  • Rapid-fire predictions for all other Big Ten games, both straight and against the spread.

Since we’re at the start of the season, today’s newsletter will also include my weekly Big Ten power rankings, similarly to how we treated last week’s rankings. This will be the final week of the season where power rankings are bunched with my viewing guide. Now that we’re in conference play and getting some head-to-head results, I’ll start making it a standalone newsletter feature starting next week.

As for the picks themselves, we’re starting to trend in the right direction. We’re now 66.7% against the spread on Michigan games, 54.9% against the spread on Big Ten games and 51.7% against the spread on all games. When it comes to straight up picks, we’re 66.7% on Michigan games, 92.2% on Big Ten games and 83.3% overall.

Here’s a detailed look at how the picks have performed through three weeks of play.

2025 results

Michigan games
  • Straight: 2-1

  • Against the spread: 2-1

B1G games
  • Straight: 47-4

  • Against the spread: 28-23

Overall
  • Straight: 50-10

  • Against the spread: 31-29

Let’s get to this week’s picks to see if we can get even more comfortably in the black.👇
