The 2025 U-M football fan survey: Share your thoughts on the state of the program
This post is unlocked and available for all readers.
Welcome to one of my favorite annual newsletter staples — the Michigan football fan survey.
First and foremost, thank you as always for subscribing to the Scott Bell Newsletter, whether you do so at a free or premium level. One thing I've aimed to do that I hope to continue in Year 6 is add more interactive elements where content isn't just for subscribers, but it's also guided by and at times, contributed to, by said subscribers.
One place I tried to do this the past few offseasons was with the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 U-M football fan surveys. Those were received well, so I'll be doing that again this offseason — I'm just rolling it out much earlier in the summer this time around, since things get quite busy news-wise in August, which is when the last few of these have rolled out.
Below are a series of questions designed to help take fans' temperature when it comes to a number of issues — thoughts on personnel groupings, the coaching staff, expectations for the season, the ongoing NCAA saga and everything in between. If you'd like to contribute, please fill it out honestly and earnestly so that we have a legitimate sample to deal with. I'll be sharing the findings in some future newsletters, and compare the fanbases' thoughts with my own.
The only answer that is REQUIRED to be filled out is the name/e-mail associated with the subscription, so I can make sure I'm only counting legitimate ballots. But try and fill out as many of these questions as you feel comfortable doing so that the sample sizes for these questions can all be relatively similar.
