Radio recap (1/26): Previewing Michigan's biggest week of the hoops season so far
This post is unlocked and available for all readers
It’s a massive week for the No. 3 Michigan men’s basketball team, with No. 5 Nebraska (20-0) coming to town on Tuesday for a top-5 clash before the Wolverines take a short trek across the state on Friday to take on No. 7 Michigan State (18-2). While there’s plenty of season left for all members of the Big Ten, this week could have major ramifications for how the race for the Big Ten Championship ultimately plays out.
Not surprisingly, given the high stakes of this week of hoops, the majority of my weekly appearance on WTKA with Sam Webb and Ira Weintraub centered around the hoops team and what’s on the line this week. At the end, we did talk a bit about football, too, and the shifting hierarchy and dynamics between the Big Ten and the SEC on the heels of the Big Ten winning a third straight National Championship. But if you’ve been itching for some hoops content, this week is your lucky week.
