Radio recap (1/22): Thoughts on Michigan's title win, Jim Harbaugh's future and the Lions' playoff run
This post is unlocked and available for all readers.
Even though Michigan won its National Championship two weeks ago to the day, Monday morning was my first time actually getting to chat with Sam Webb and Ira Weintraub on the radio since the big victory. Two weeks ago was a preview of the game, which was happening later that evening. And last week was MLK Day and both hosts were off that day. So while it didn’t necessarily feel fresh taking about the game, it did feel cathartic, so I feel compelled to share the audio with y’all. Along with a National Championship Game review, we also discussed the Lions run and Jim Harbaugh’s future. I’ll attempt to timestamp the topics below in case there are parts you want to start at or avoid altogether — I know not every Michigan fan is a Lions fan and I’ll try and be conscious of that.
Also, before we get to the audio, I want to announce the winners of my contests for premium and free subscribers surrounding the commemorative National Championship footballs. Thank you to everyone who entered (as well as the people who took part in my giveaway on Twitter, too)
The winner out of my free subscribers, who now receives a free 12-month premium subscription, is Tom Kemp.
The winner out of my premium subscribers, who receives their choice of $50, a 12-month extension on their existing premium subscription or a giftable 12-month premium subscription for a friend or family member, is Jon Wolffis.
If you won, please shoot me a note at bagofbell@gmail.com and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of promptly. And thank you again to everyone who participated.
With that out of the way, here’s my radio recap from my Jan. 22 appearance on The Michigan Insider over at Sports Talk 1050 WTKA The Ticket in Ann Arbor, the official voice of Michigan sports.
