To celebrate the fact that it’s finally game week, I’m rolling out one of the more popular staples of this newsletter since I started it in 2020 — the expert roundtable.
It’s pretty self-explanatory: I rounded up a diverse group of Michigan football experts and asked them 15+ questions related to the Wolverine football program and the upcoming season. And make no mistake about it, this feature wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the members of the Michigan media (their social handles are on the grid, along with their publications — I highly encourage supporting all of their work).
We got 19 experts to participate in 2020, 15 in 2021 and 20 last fall. This time around, we got a record 24 different panelists to participate. This group includes folks from local and national outlets, from print and digital publications, from written to audio formats and everything in between. The only commonality between everyone is they’re all tasked with providing coverage of Michigan athletics — so this group of experts isn’t just large, it’s very qualified.
