Over the weekend, Michigan picked up its fourth Big Ten road win and eighth conference win overall through the first 10 games of the Big Ten season. That means a few things. First, the Wolverines are right in the mix of the battle for a conference title, sitting just one game behind Michigan State and a half game behind Purdue, who has played one more game than both of the Mitten State hoops programs. And second, with 10 games in the rear view mirror for Michigan, it means there’s 10 games still ahead, making this the exact midway point of Dusty May’s first conference season in Ann Arbor.
So what better time than now to take a step back and give a progress report on May’s inaugural season in Maize and Blue?
Below the paywall jump, I’ll hand out midseason report cards for all members of the Michigan hoops rotation, plus the coaches. Then I’ll look ahead to the biggest issues that still need to be fixed in the second half of Big Ten play and wrap things up with some rest-of-way predictions.
Let’s get to it. 👇
