Mega newsletter: Big Ten Stock Watch, power rankings and Week 5 viewing guide
This post is locked and can be read by premium subscribers only.
Life caught up to me this week (my wonderful grandmother died at the start of the week), so I wasn’t able to keep up with the normal content schedule in terms of timing. But I still want to deliver all of the weekly staples. So today’s newsletter will be a combination of the usual Wednesday and Friday features — my weekly stock watch, power rankings and then my Week 5 viewing guide. More than 4,000 words in all.
For those who need a refresher, here’s what those features entail:
Stock watch: I’ll highlight three teams/players/trends on the rise throughout the conference and three teams/players/trends on the decline.
Power rankings: A ranking of the 18 Big Ten schools from 1-18 based on on-field merit and my outlook for the remainder of the season.
Viewing guide: A three-pronged guide to this weekend’s college football action
My choices for the three biggest Big Ten games of the week that don’t involve Michigan, including predictions straight and against the spread
My choices for the three biggest non-Big Ten games of the weekend, including predictions straight and against the spread
Rapid-fire predictions for all other Big Ten games, both straight and against the spread.
If you’re not a premium subscriber and want to unlock the ability to read this full article, plus full access to all other weekly articles and chats, you can explore the different subscription options below.
Friendly reminder that this is the final week of the first wave of my 2024 Michigan football season giveaways, where subscribers new and old can win different Michigan football memorabilia, including commemorative National Championship footballs, a J.J. McCarthy football and autographed items from Zak Zinter and/or Mikey Sainristil. You can read details on how HERE.
And with that out of the way, let’s get to the stock watch, power rankings and viewing guide.
