Just eight days after Michigan fired head coach Juwan Howard, the Wolverines have found their replacement.
Florida Atlantic coach Dusty May chose Michigan over a list of suitors, including Louisville and Vanderbilt, and will become the Wolverines’ 18th head coach in program history.
May is one year removed from coaching in the Final Four, and was arguably the most coveted coach of this year’s early coaching carousel.
That doesn’t mean the move is without risk, though, nor is it without critics.
